Don’t Go Astray help’s animals in need, giving them the second chance, they deserve. They assist with veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, fostering and re-homing of animals that just want to be loved. The organisation was formed in June 2018, and within six months was honoured with the RSPCA Humane Award – a huge deal for newcomers, and this encouragement has galvanised their passion and commitment.

Born through the compassion and drive of their founder, Kylie, Don’t Go Astray Inc. strive to help animals by making sure every animal has a chance at a happy, healthy life, no matter the cost, no matter the odds. An organisation run by vet nurses tired of seeing animals left untreated and left without a home because of financial burdens, they endeavour to rehome stray and surrendered animals and assist in getting animals the medical care they need by raising the funds they require and finding them the medical professionals they need. All of this is only possible through your support and generosity.

Driven by a shared desire to make a positive impact, their team’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of surrendered and stray animals. Each member of Don’t Go Astray comes from the veterinary and animal rescue industry, pooling a broad range of complementary skills. Together, their aim is not just to care for animals, but to provide assistance for people unable to meet the financial cost of emergency veterinary care.

Their mission is to support stray & surrendered animals in need with Veterinary treatment, Rehabilitation, Foster Care and Adoption. Every animal deserves a second chance and a Forever Home. To provide an opportunity for families who need support with emergency Veterinary treatment for their pets. To provide education and training around animal welfare and animal health, and to promote responsible ownership.

Don’t Go Astray is a small but hard-working team of people who dedicate their lives to caring for animals. Founder Kylie comes from a Human Resources/Marketing background and is a Vet Nurse trainee. Jami is a Vet Nurse specialising in exotic pets. Shannon is a Foster Carer working throughout Australia and Canada. Te is a Small Animal and Equine Veterinary Nurse & Abby is an administrator with a background in human patient care and support.
